Also known as "Ruth". Razzle is a delusional serial killer who believes she is a magical girl protecting the world from "monsters", i.e., the random civilians she slaughters. Having taken on this role for over two years by now, she thought she was good at keeping her "protection" under wraps - but when her girlfriend, Beetroot, discovers her dumping a corpse, her entire world turns upside down.
Wholly obsessed with defending her secret from those who "won't understand", Razzle will do whatever it takes to stop Beetroot or the rest of their friend group from spilling, even if it means tearing down their lives.

Also known as "Noelle". Beetroot may seem confident and straight-ahead, but she has a weak spot for love and anything else she struggles to comprehend. Beetroot is desperate to escape Razzle, confiding in his brother, Seagrass, but this and his developing closeness with Areca only sparks more fear and wrath in Razzle.
While most people trust Beetroot as a strong-minded figure, her state crumbles over time.

Also known as "Lowe". While Lowe may be a little clumsy, unorganized, and unprofessional, he cares deeply for his friends and will do what he needs to in order to protect them and their interests. He has a budding friendship with Areca but especially Seagrass, who he spends much of his time around. He has a nearly desperate crush on his friend, but feels he cannot communicate it for fear of being rejected and ashamed.
He is Razzle's lowest priority among the group, but she keeps him in mind due to his closeness with Beetroot's closest friends.

Also known as "Reed". Seagrass is quiet and smart, but like his sister, can be rash when pulsing with emotion. Above all else, Seagrass wants to protect his sister, even if it means he will have to leave his comfort zone to confront Razzle.
Seagrass is friends with Pinwheel, and the two are with eachother more often than not. While they want to open up with one another emotionally and be more than just 'guy friends', status quo and expectations about their masculinity inhibit them.

Also known as "Janie". Bouquet is a brimming force of positivity, always on the bright side and ready to take a situation head on. However, when the group's world begins to turn upside down, Bouquet's boundless positivity reflects as unhealthy and invalidating to the feelings of others, creating emotional gaps with the rest of the group but especially her partner, Areca.
As a doctor, Bouquet is invaluable to her friends as a source of protection.

Also known as "Ozanne (Ozzy)". Areca is shy and sensitive, afraid to speak or stand up for themself in the face of others. Resultingly, they are very easy to manipulate and control, especially because the familiarity of obedience comforts their fears and anxieties. While Areca wants to work on themself (with the assistance of bold and confident Beetroot), changing will prove difficult when Razzle intends on making Areca into a perfect pawn to settle her jealousy.

Also known as "Laguna". Clay is a mischevious and tricky apparition deluded by Razzle's mind, who she fully believes is real. Clay is a terrible influence on her and directly supports and reinforces her dangerous ideas about others, picking out innocent objects and churning, twisting them into monsters in her own broken head.
Clay manifests itself as a cute and colorful creature, specifically appealing to what Razzle will pay attention to.
